The Northern Star

Fairbanks is about as distant and unassuming a place as one will find on the college hockey map. And given its geographic location (smack in the middle of the Alaskan interior), and the atmosphere that brings (daylights lasts from about 11 am to 3:30 pm this time of year), one might think that recruiting to this 'final frontier' of a town might be as difficult a task as any.

Cash And Carrick

Sitting here as we are in Chicago, and just a stones throw away from the home rink of the AAA Chicago Fury, we’ve had quite a few occasions to watch ’94 born midget minor blueliner Connor Carrick. Along with many scouts, we were crazy about at the start of the season, and even more enamored of him now. So too is one particular CCHA squad.
